| Annual Youth Canoe/Kayak Trip
Monday, June 23
|Cathy Godfrey is
kind enough to offer us her expertise and the use of her canoes and
kayaks to navigate the Fox River again this year!
This annual tradition is a ton of fun for St. Paul youth; a great way
to enjoy summer, make new friends and reconnect with old ones! |
We will meet in the church parking lot at 8:30am on Monday, June 23 for this activity, which is open to all middle school and high school youth (including current 5 th graders entering 6 th grade this fall!). Friends are welcome! Life jackets will be provided, but please bring your own sack lunch and drink to enjoy when we break to eat mid-way through our trip. It’s a good idea to bring a spare bottle of water to drink throughout the day, and you’ll want to wear some sunscreen (if not bring the bottle with you)! There are shallow points in the river where we might get out of our boats to play in the water, so wear your swimsuit under your clothes and wear your water shoes if you have some. We’re also planning to stop at Kimmer’s Ice Cream in St. Charles on our way back to church, so please feel free to bring $5 if you might like to get some ice cream!
We plan to return to church by 6:00pm, but will contact parents if the return time will be different.

This fun summer activity has been well attended the past few years, and space is limited…so RSVP’s are required for this activity and must be made by Friday, June 20 . Help will be needed loading canoes and kayaks onto Cathy’s trailers on Sunday (the 22nd ), so please respond if you might be able to help with this task. Three adult drivers will also be needed for this activity on Monday itself, so please contact Vanessa if you might be available to help!
